2017 Reflections

For me, 2017 was the year of pushing myself.

Not going to lie, I pushed myself too hard at times. But without the experience of pushing myself – even if too hard, I wouldn’t have been able to grow and learn as much as I did.

Sipping on a glass of bubbly, yesterday I wrote out my 2017 reflections. Here are some of the major takeaways:
Commit to your health. With good health you can achieve your dreams. Good health sometimes means hours of physical therapy. Be patient.
Give back to your community and causes important to you. What may not seem like a big investment of your time or energy can make the biggest difference in someone else’s life.
Do things that bring you joy. If you thought something would bring you joy and it is something you are doing for fun, but in reality it causes stress and anxiety, let it go. You don’t need to do it all.
Money takes hard work and good luck. Spend it wisely.
-Dedication and hard work will take you where you dream of going. Don’t give up.
-Trust in yourself and have confidence in your ability.
-Communication is key. In all aspects of life.
Ask for help when you need it and don’t be ashamed of trying to improve yourself.
Surround yourself with people who inspire you, encourage you, and motivate you to be the best version of yourself.
Have an open mind and heart.
-Take time for self-care and quality family time. Never forget your roots.
Happy New Year to all! I hope 2018 is filled with love, happiness, and success!
